I would like to take the opportunity to thank Patrick for the extensive Lead Programme, he so aptly conducted to my Heads of Department and myself. The innovative Training Programme, which concentrated on the personal development of all participants was not only interesting, but also very informative. It has helped us in focusing on leadership skills and has changed our attitude and the way we manage our hotel and our people. Patrick has given us new ways on how to handle difficult situations, as well as how to build a team, motivate staff and encourage them to feel part of the team. Despite my age, I must admit that it was a pleasure to put into practice the novel concepts I have learned from Patrick and reap the excellent results. My name is Andre Burlo and I am one of six Airmalta pilots being trained to become Captains. Our company has started this long journey by entrusting Mr. Patrick Psaila in conducting a Leadership course, I would add to say a course in to the psychology of winning. During the past decades the aviation industry has gone through many losses due to the lack of understanding on affects of human factors on safety. In a job like ours where one deals with different stressors on a daily basis, Patrick’s expertise has helped to identify these threats. Having become more aware of how the human brain processes information and ways of action coping I feel Patrick has helped me see the bigger picture. Also rewarding is the fact that what applies to my job can also be translated into my everyday life. Such a course cannot be so successful unless one has the charisma and the talent Patrick has in his ways of delivering. For businesses with human resources at heart Patrick’s expertise is a must. Ltd personnel, including Team Building, Management Development Programmes
and a number of training sessions in a number of different subject areas.
Through his close work with the management team, Patrick has been able
to translate organisational issues and concerns into tangible, action
oriented programmes.
Through his innovative training methods Patrick has substantially
contributed to Patrick’s
work is of great benefit to both public and private sector organizations
in Malta. He has the ability to relate to individuals and groups in
a way that helps them to understand more about themselves and how they
function in both their personal and professional lives. Heritage
Malta has embarked on a cultural change programme following its setting
up in 2003. A critical component for the success of this programme is
the commitment and vision of its leaders. To be able to embark on this
initiative, Heritage Malta worked with Patrick Psaila to unleash the
potential of this newly formed management team and to support the development
of leadership and teamworking skills. This has proved to be an important
foundation for the new organisation and its management team. Patrick's
professional skills in drawing out people's skills, creating awareness
for further development and his sensitivity to the particular culture
of the organisation were instrumental in making this leadership development
programme a success and certainly more than a one-event event that began
and ended with the training. When
you think of Patrick as a trainer, you think of innovation, support,
values, as well as helping a person to feel included and integrated
in a group. His constructive methods of team building are unique and
very powerful. Patrick is an asset to organizations like Playmobil that
has experienced his professional expertise in EAP’s (Employee
Assistance Pragrammes) which was followed up by various training programmes
that always met our requirements. As a trainer I had the pleasure to
attend a “Train the Trainer Course” based on four stage:
“C.A.A.T.” model that enables the trainer to check her/himself
through the entire training process as well as many practical tips on
how you can make presentations fun and interesting. I learnt a great
deal from his professional approach and the fact that he is such a good
listener who never takes things for granted. I
know Patrick both as a participant in a number of his training programmes,
and also as a colleague in co-ordinating the Employee Assistance Programme
within Playmobil Malta Ltd. I must say that Patrick is excellent in
both aspects. As a Trainer, I admire his immediate sensitivity towards
the learning needs of the participants and his skilful flexibility in
dealing with arising issues. His vast knowledge and experience in psychology,
management and business issues, together with his witty sense of humour
makes the training most thought provoking yet enjoyable. |
