Format options:
There are various formats for this programme. The longest is spread over about 24 hours, nine two-hour sessions and one full-day. Short versions of about 12 hours are also available.

Topics covered:
(Included in long version) Substance abuse, domestic violence, bereavement, discrimination and harassment, relationship problems, stress related issues, etc. Responding to people problems, the nature of counselling.

Brief course description:
The first part of the programme consists of two-hour information sessions
delivered by guest speakers from different areas of specialization related to
psychosocial problems encountered at the workplace. The course concludes with
a full day training seminar on the skills involved in identifying the signs of
psychosocial problems, listening skills and methods of referring people to
counselling. The nature of counselling is also dealt with. This course is ideal for
companies who want to introduce counselling services or an Employee
Assistance Programme to their organization.
